Elementalists' Roles in Organized TA
Is there anything that an Elementalist can do better than another profession at the moment? One of the few "meh" uses they have right now is Blindbot; every now and then, there is a spike focused around them, but none of them have TA holding power. Currently, all I see them used for is some minor utility with medium damage output.
So where are the Elementalists' places in TA?

In most situations, Eles are simply outdone by other classes. Necros have better pressure with shutdown. Rits have better support. Come to think about it, I haven't played with or seen an Ele used in a serious group for months.

currently, there's no real use.
considering my usual groups were one of the few that ran dual ele (although dual mind blast would've owned a lot more), i don't think they'll ever really get back.
besides that, gimmicks. e/rt gogo

I actually played a spike build with two E/Rts a few days ago. =P

Ele's are still very good anti-melee. Blind botting is nice.

Thing is, in TA, the gimmicky and gh3y4$$ Ebon Dust Aura can practically keep a whole team blind, unlike a blindbot

Also, a promp draw cond monk, or well-timed dshot ranger, or even enchant removal can render blindbots useless

I don't think I've ever had a monk on my team lately (unless it was a smite monk backline) that didn't have draw and mending touch. It's simply better than any other form of condition removal, thus in turn making blind bots useless.
